Crikvenica Marina is situated in the sheltered Vinodol Channel on the Kvarner Riviera, backed by the Velebit mountains on the mainland shore. The town has been a seaside resort since the Austro-Hungarian era, and its calm, north-facing bay offers good protection from the summer maestral.
