Marina de Cap d'Agde is one of the largest marinas on the French Mediterranean coast, part of a vast purpose-built resort complex at the mouth of the Hérault River in Occitanie. The volcanic headland of Cap d'Agde provides natural shelter, and the marina is a major hub for the western Languedoc sailing area — the Gulf of Lion, the Étang de Thau lagoon, and the Canal du Midi's sea entrance at the nearby Sète. The sailing conditions in the Gulf of Lion can be demanding: the Tramontane and Mistral both accelerate sharply here, generating steep seas. Stern-to Med mooring is standard. Good onshore facilities including chandlery and provisioning throughout the resort complex.
