Marina on the Danube at Brăila, a historic port city in south-eastern Romania where the river begins its eastward sweep towards the delta. Brăila was once one of the most important grain ports on the lower Danube and retains fine 19th-century architecture. The marina serves as a waypoint for yachts and river cruisers navigating the lower Danube between the Black Sea and central Europe. The river at this point is broad and powerful, offering impressive Danube scenery.
