About

Eastbourne Sovereign Harbour is a large locked marina complex on the East Sussex coast, purpose-built in the 1990s in a former shingle bay to the east of Eastbourne town centre. It is the nearest all-tide harbour to the English Channel crossing routes from the Solent to France and a popular staging point for cross-Channel passages. The harbour offers full marina amenities and a waterfront retail and restaurant development. Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs are the dominant local landmarks visible from seaward.
