The anchorage and small quay at Fare, the main village on Huahine — one of the least-visited and most authentically Polynesian of the Leeward Society Islands. Huahine is often called the 'Garden Island' for its lush interior and is known for exceptionally friendly locals, superb snorkelling, and important archaeological marae sites. The lagoon provides good protection and the anchorage is a favourite stop for yachts circumnavigating the Society Islands.
