Fortrose Harbour Marina sits on the sheltered south shore of the Black Isle in the Moray Firth, directly across the firth from Fort George and the city of Inverness. Fortrose is a small cathedral town with a relaxed, unhurried pace and a dramatic ruined cathedral at its centre. The Moray Firth is one of Scotland's most rewarding cruising areas, famous for its resident bottlenose dolphin population — often seen in the narrows of the Chanonry Point tide race directly adjacent to the harbour — and for spectacular Highland scenery.
