About

Girvan Marina lies in the harbour town of Girvan on the Ayrshire coast, on the south-western shore of Scotland looking out across the Firth of Clyde towards Ailsa Craig — the dramatic volcanic plug that rises from the sea ten miles offshore and is visible from much of the Clyde. Girvan is a working harbour with a fishing fleet, and the marina offers a useful stopping point for passages along the Ayrshire coast between Troon and the Mull of Kintyre. Ailsa Craig, famous for its granite used in curling stones, makes a memorable side-trip.
