Helensburgh Marina is on the northern shore of the Firth of Clyde in Argyll, at the southern end of the Gare Loch and directly across the firth from Greenock. Helensburgh is a Victorian seaside town best known as the birthplace of John Logie Baird, inventor of television, and as the location of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's iconic Hill House. The marina is well positioned for exploring the central Clyde — Loch Long, the Holy Loch and the Rosneath Peninsula are immediately adjacent, and the wider Clyde islands and sea lochs are within comfortable sailing range.
