Marina de Dunkerque

Marina de Dunkerque is a modern pleasure port in the city of Dunkirk (Dunkerque) on France's North Sea coast, close to the Belgian border and a short crossing from the English ports of Dover and Ramsgate. The marina provides a convenient stop for North Sea and Channel passage-makers, with the Belgian coast extending east toward Nieuwpoort and Ostend. Tides in this area run strongly — the Dover Strait is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world and requires careful passage planning. The marina is sheltered inside the commercial port infrastructure. Dunkirk's wartime history and the nearby dunes of the Côte d'Opale offer interesting shore time between passages.
