Novigrad Marina Istria

Novigrad Marina Istria occupies a sheltered position in the Mirna estuary on the northern Adriatic coast of Istria, about 30 km south of the Slovenian border. Novigrad (Cittanova in Italian) is a compact, well-preserved medieval walled town on a small peninsula, with Venetian-era architecture and a relaxed, un-touristy atmosphere. The surrounding waters are calm and the marina well-provisioned, making it a good base for exploring the west Istrian coast between Poreč and Umag. Stern-to Med mooring is standard. Day trips to Poreč's UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica and the Mirna valley truffle country are easy from here.
