About

Padstow is North Cornwall's principal harbour town, situated in the Camel Estuary and accessible via the notorious Doom Bar sandbank at the estuary mouth. The harbour dries at low water — access is tidal (approximately 2 hours each side of high water). The town is famous for Rick Stein's restaurants and the May Day Obby Oss festival. The Camel Trail cycling route starts here.
