Pag Town Marina sits in the narrow lagoon at the heart of Pag island, accessed through a shallow channel between the island and the mainland. Pag town is one of the most architecturally coherent Renaissance settlements in Croatia, planned in the 15th century on a strict grid and largely unchanged since. The surrounding saltpans have produced Pag salt for centuries, and the island's famous sheep cheese is made from milk flavoured by the salt-laden pastures. The marina is a quiet, authentic stop on the Dalmatian coast route. Stern-to Med mooring is standard. The bura wind accelerates sharply through the Velebit channel to the north.
