Plymouth Montserrat Marina serves the island of Montserrat in the Lesser Antilles, a British Overseas Territory whose southern half was devastated by the eruptions of the Soufrière Hills volcano beginning in 1995, burying the former capital of Plymouth under volcanic ash. The island's northern safe zone remains inhabited and the volcano — one of the world's most active — can be observed from the water on guided boat tours.
