Capri's Marina Grande is the main port of the most glamorous island in the Bay of Naples, with the famous Faraglioni rock stacks and the Blue Grotto as its signatures. The harbour is extremely busy in summer — arriving early is essential. The funicular to Capri Town, the Villa Jovis (Tiberius's palace), and the chairlift to Monte Solaro are the essential excursions. Anchorage in the Piccola Marina on the south side is calmer.
