Porto di Scalea is a harbour in Scalea, a Calabrian coastal town on the Tyrrhenian whose medieval upper town rises in tiers above the modern seafront. The area forms part of the Riviera dei Cedri — named for the cedro (citron) citrus fruit that grows abundantly along this stretch of Calabrian coast and is an essential ingredient in Jewish cuisine.
