Studland Bay in Dorset is one of England's most beautiful and popular anchorages, a sandy bay in the lee of Handfast Point at the entrance to Poole Harbour. The bay offers excellent holding ground in southerly winds and is a National Trust nature reserve with red squirrels and rare heathland.
