Vela Luka Marina Korcula

Vela Luka Marina Korčula sits at the western tip of Korčula island, in a long, sheltered bay that cuts deep into the island's hilly interior. Vela Luka is a working town with a good provisioning infrastructure, repair facilities, and regular ferry connections to Split and the Italian port of Ancona — making it a useful gateway for blue-water passages across the Adriatic. The town has a pleasant, un-touristy character compared to Korčula old town at the eastern end of the island. Stern-to Med mooring is standard. Nearby anchorages in the Orebić channel and the Pelješac peninsula offer excellent day-sailing options in sheltered water.
