Ventotene Marina serves the tiny volcanic island of Ventotene in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Lazio coast, one of the most remote islands in Italian waters and historically a place of imperial Roman exile — Augustus, Tiberius, and Caligula all banished family members here. The island is surrounded by clear waters and a marine protected area, and the ancient Roman port cut from the basalt rock is still in use today.
