About
Small marina and dhow harbour serving the Bazaruto Archipelago gateway town of Vilanculos. Primarily a departure point for island excursions into the Bazaruto National Park, one of the Indian Ocean's premier marine reserves. Facilities are basic but the anchorage in the bay offers reasonable protection. Charter boats and a growing cruising community use Vilanculos as a base for exploring the archipelago's unspoiled coral reefs and sandbars.
