Whangarei Town Basin Marina is located at the heart of Whangarei, Northland's only city, on the Hātea River in a revitalised urban marina precinct of galleries, restaurants, and workshops. The Basin is the most popular first New Zealand landfall marina for offshore passage-makers arriving from the Pacific, and the Whangarei Heads and Bream Bay offer excellent cruising within easy reach.
