Žirje Marina Croatia

Žirje Marina serves the most westerly inhabited island in the Šibenik archipelago, a quiet and largely unspoiled island roughly 25 nm from Šibenik. There is very little tourist infrastructure here — a few houses, a small restaurant when it is open, and excellent anchorages in the surrounding coves. For sailors on extended Dalmatian cruises, Žirje represents the outer edge of the Šibenik island chain before the open sea toward Hvar and Vis. The waters are exceptionally clear, and the island is popular with divers. Stern-to Med mooring or anchoring off is the norm. Self-sufficiency is advisable — provisions are very limited and the ferry from Šibenik runs infrequently.
