Bridgwater Dock

Bridgwater Dock is undergoing a major £23.2 million regeneration project as part of the Bridgwater Town Deal, which will transform it into a modern waterfront hub. The historic dock — closed to vessels since early 2026 following a structural safety review — will be modernised with an upgraded marina, increased berths, improved lighting, landscaping, and new pedestrian and cycling routes. Somerset Council appointed built environment specialists WSP as design consultants. Planning permission is being sought with project delivery expected in the coming years.
