About

Lovran Marina sits on the western shore of the Kvarner Gulf, a few kilometres south of Opatija, at the foot of the Učka mountain range. Lovran is one of the oldest resort towns on the Croatian Riviera, known for its Art Nouveau villas, chestnut festival in autumn, and a sheltered promenade running along the coast. The bay provides reasonable protection from the bura (north-easterly katabatic wind) that can sweep down from the Velebit range in winter and spring. The marina is a practical base for exploring the Kvarner islands of Krk, Cres, and Lošinj. Stern-to Med mooring is standard practice on this coast.
