About
Port de Bandol is a pretty, flower-filled harbour town on the Provence coast between Toulon and Marseille, with 600 berths and a strong reputation for its rosé and red wines — Bandol AOC is one of the most respected appellations in southern France. The port sits in a well-sheltered bay with the Île de Bendor, a tiny private island developed as an arts venue, just offshore. The sailing area around Bandol includes the Île des Embiez archipelago to the west and the Giens peninsula and Îles d'Or to the east. Stern-to Med mooring is standard. The Mistral blows offshore here and can make departure timing important.
