Rijeka Marina serves Croatia's largest northern port city at the head of the Kvarner Gulf — the main commercial and industrial gateway to the northern Adriatic. Rijeka has a gritty, multicultural character shaped by centuries of Hungarian, Italian, and Austro-Hungarian influence, and its European Capital of Culture 2020 designation has added a vibrant arts and café culture to the waterfront.
