About
St Ives Harbour is one of Cornwall's most picturesque fishing ports, nestled between Porthminster and Porthgwidden beaches on the north coast. It is a tidal harbour with three piers, two lighthouses, and approximately 140 tidal moorings, serving as both a working fishing port and a base for leisure moorings and boating services. The harbour dries at low water and is only suitable for vessels that can take the ground, though there is excellent holding in the outer anchorage in settled weather. St Ives itself is known for its light quality, its artists' colony, and the Tate St Ives gallery.
