Veli Lošinj Marina

Veli Lošinj Marina serves the smaller, quieter southern settlement of Lošinj island in the Kvarner Gulf. While Mali Lošinj to the north is the commercial hub, Veli Lošinj has a more intimate character — a tight circle of colourful fishermen's houses around a small harbour, with a 15th-century tower and the scent of aromatic herbs from the hillside above. The resident bottlenose dolphin population in the surrounding waters is one of the most studied in the Mediterranean. Stern-to Med mooring is standard. Day trips between the two settlements are pleasant by foot along the coastal path or by dinghy. The Kvarner sailing area offers good conditions for most of the year.
