About
Looe is a traditional fishing port and tourism destination on the South Coast of Cornwall between Plymouth and Fowey, where the River Looe meets the sea and East Looe and West Looe are joined by a historic bridge. Its greatest attractions are a lovely sandy beach and tidal river bordering the harbour shops and cafes; the harbour dries at low water and is entered on the flood tide. Boats provide fishing trips from the harbour as well as pleasure cruises around Looe Island, the bay and river, alongside a shark-fishing tradition dating back decades.
