Metković Marina Croatia

Metković Marina sits on the Neretva River delta at the southeastern corner of Croatia, close to the border with Bosnia-Herzegovina. The river approach offers a distinctive change of scenery from the open Adriatic — flat delta farmland and reed marshes that are home to migratory birds and freshwater fishing boats. Metković is primarily a commercial and transit town, serving as the inland port for the Neretva delta region. For cruisers, it represents an unusual river detour from the coastal route between Dubrovnik and Split. Stern-to Med mooring or alongside is standard in the river berths. The nearby Hutovo Blato nature reserve is worth a visit.
