About
Vis Marina Croatia serves the main town of Vis on the island of the same name — the most remote inhabited island on the Croatian coast, around 45 nm from Split. Vis was a closed Yugoslav military zone until 1989, which preserved it from mass tourism development and left it with clear waters, intact villages, and a genuine local character. The harbour is overlooked by Austrian-era fortifications and backed by the vineyards that produce Vugava, a distinctive local white wine. Regular ferry links to Split make crew changes feasible. Stern-to Med mooring is standard. The island is increasingly popular with sailors who prefer character over infrastructure.
